PATNA: DAV-BSEB emerged as the winner of the CBSE Cluster III kabaddi tournament in the under-19 girl and boy categories on Tuesday. In the under-17 girl and boy categories, Mahesh Academy-Auragabad and Dr G L Dutta DAV Transport Nagar lifted the winners’ trophies respectively.
LIC zonal manager C Vikas Rao, who distributed trophies and certificates among the winners on Gyan Niketan campus, talked about the importance of discipline in sports. He said, “A healthy mind only lives in a healthy body.”
Gyan Niketan students Om Kumar, Aditya, Manas and Sahil performed a one act play — ‘Padh Likh Bitiya, Bitiya Badi Bani’.
School administrator Anita Kunal, principal J K Mukherjee, vice-principal S M Jha and others were present on the concluding day of the three-day event.
Jesus and Mary Academy: More than 350 students of Jesus and Mary Academy participated in diya-making, gharonda-making and candle-making competitions on Tuesday.
While Anushka, Sidhi, Aarav, Rohit Raj, Suhani, Swweety Kumari, Vibhor Arya, Suveeda Raj and Aastha won prizes in the diya-making competition, Mahi Mehta, Janvi Priya, Khushi Keshari, Princi Richa, Harsh Kumar, Vaishnavi and Beauty Kumari bagged prizes in the gharonda-making contest.
In the candle-making competition, the winners were Rajiv, Parul Rati, Sanskar, Krishna, Zainab Ali, Roshan Raj, Karn, Vishal and Ranvir Raj.
School director Ambrose Patrick gave away the prizes to the winners.
Radiant International School: The fourth East India Round of World Scholar’s Cup was inaugurated at Radiant International School on Tuesday. The two-day mega event on the theme ‘An Unlikely World’ is being attended by at least 350 students from various parts of eastern India.

AIIMS-P: A two-day workshop on ‘Flow Cytometry in Clinical Practices and Research’ began at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences-Patna (AIIMS-P) on Tuesday.
At least 50 researchers presented their papers on the occasion.
